If anyone wants a Clownshoe, I keep seeing this guy in my town. It doesn’t look like it was the best taken care of little M, it’s filled with junk, but it apparently has a $700 window coating which is really what you buy these things for. Their window coatings.

Oh gosh do I like these. I tried to get my old man to buy one, but he chose a Mustang instead. I mean that’s good enough, but still, clownshoe.

Oof. I love these, and this is in the best color and everything.

BUT.

What is it with BMW owners and their obsession with “only 147 of these with these floor mats!” bullshit? Sheesh.

Right? It’s like those people with their COPO Chevys who are all, “this is one of only nine 4-doors with the 3-speed and that engine and electric windows but no air conditioning built in 1973.”

I view “window coating” as a downside. How many aftermarket tints don’t look like shit after a few years? When I bought my second 300ZX it had a peeling tint. The company that removed it scratched the t-top glass a bit. Can’t win.

This one looks like it was driven pretty hard. But, the mileage wasn't bad, IIRC from the sign in the window.

“$700 window coating”

What does that even mean? Are we talking about tint? Is there some new spray on UV filter I’m unaware of?

I think he may mean a paint sealant like Opticoat. People used to call it “glass coating” or “crystal glass coating” several years ago before the whole “nano” everything craze.

We should think about glass coating all the Wanke r ls. If it was $700 in 1999, who knows how much that feature’s worth now? I do love that color. He may deliver it for you. He does seem eager to sell. I can wait around for him to put money in the parking meter next time I see it. It’s always in that same spot.

Well, you’re in the market for one, so I think you should wire me the 24 grand, and then you can drive it home after the trip to Philly. And, me driving it cross country will be epic. Might need multiple posts for that trip.

Very clean low-mile 2001-2002s (because S54) can fetch $60K now.

Considering they were ~$46K out the door (stripped), they’ve maintained their value relative to inflation. They’re on the verge of appreciating.

I’m aware. Mine’s moderately clean and not-high mile (considering it’s 15 years old) and I could probably sell it for a price that basically means I used it for free for 8 years.

Kinja'd!!!1

Well, in the market... I’d go for the normal 3.0, das ist ein richtiges Bauern motor. The M I wouldn’t trust my driving and mileage to ;-)

I’d probably destroy that engine somewhere over the Rocky Mountains anyway. You’d never get the chance. But, it would be fun up until that point I bet.

That would be a lot of posts in the Le Car. I could turn it into a novel. It could get repetitive, though. Me waiting in some dusty town for parts over and over again.

Any man in a Le Car has that appeal to women. Believe me. Now go and make a show on that!

Or just ask one of your lady-friends to join the trip, that will sell! IT WILL! It’s a great idea. See her handling French parts in the desert. Or reading the map. Epic tv.

Or did she come back to Serbia?

Haha. I don’t know any of the details. I’ll have to look it up. I’m sure it was in the gossip pages somewhere. A friend of mine was working at Comic-Con and saw Caspar there with a new girlfriend. I’ll have to look the princess up and see if she’s lonely, yeah. I can regale her with stories of a Dutch prince I know.

Kinja'd!!!1

Do you remember that movie with Drew Barrymore? I don’t think it was very good, but that’s one I remember seeing on a plane back when they had projectors and screens. I bet she already has a new boytoy. Maybe that’s one of the differences that were irreconcilable. I wouldn’t be surprised if Caspar had something on the side. I wonder if he got a good divorce settlement. They probably had a prenup.

Kinja'd!!! Jobjoris > Jonee
08/16/2016 at 03:35

Nope, never seen it. If it was on a silver screen in the pane it’s probably old and she was still a kid?

The one article I found with the “irreconcilable differences” Casper stated no one would have to pay the other one. Prenup. Time for another real life soap! I Divorced a Princess .

Yeah, she was a kid trying to divorce her parents. It was cute, I guess. It was on cable all the damn time back then.

Haha, seems pretty corny but that’s an idea I actually like! And did just I see Sharon Stone appear in that trailer? Love that “nobody lives happily in Pittsburgh” line from Ryan!

I’m actually surprised he didn’t come up with it himself? It’s so obvious!

I’ll have to watch it again one day. Maybe it’s a forgotten classic. And, I always liked Ryan O’Neal for some reason. He wasn’t a great actor, but he’s pleasant. What’s Up Doc with him and Barbara Streisand was a favorite of mine when I was a kid. I believe that is a young Sharon Stone.

Maybe he did and the networks weren’t interested. I’d know how to sell it.

I’ll never forget him for being in A Bridge too Far. Not that he was that excellent in it but it’s such a great memory to me as it all is supposed to take place in the surrounding of where I grew up. I wouldn’t remember him in any other film actually?

Maybe you should call him up and offer him to become his manager?

Kinja'd!!!1

I have strong memories of that movie, too. I remember watching it on t.v. With my parents quite vividly. It might have been the first war movie I ever saw. His most famous movie might be Paper Moon with him and Tatum. It’s a great one from the early 70's. She won an Oscar. And he’s in Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon which is not one of the better remembered Kubrick movies, but I like it.

I should. His career could use a boost.

Kinja'd!!! Jobjoris > Jonee
08/19/2016 at 03:20

Kinja'd!!!1

Both Paper Moon and Barry Lyndon don’t ring a bell. Must be wicked making a movie with your own daughter.

What other ideas than I divorced a Princess do you/we have? You could plug him for Dancing with the Stars ! Sorry I just started watching Don’t trust that B**** of Apartment 23 and DWTS seems to play a big part in it.

Kinja'd!!!1

Paper Moon is a really charming film. You’d like it. I feel like they had kind of a rough relationship when Tatum got older, but I bet it was a blast making that movie for them.

DWTS would be a good outlet to get his career going again, but it’ll take some work to get him on. They usually have bigger stars. I only watched a couple episodes of that Don’t Trust the B... show, but it seemed funny. I liked that that guy from Dawson’s Creek played himself.

HIggins!!!! AAnd some nice drifting those pre-wars! Was it B&W or is that just the trailer?

Bigger stars means bigger costs! You can do it. He’s a pretty and athletic boy, right? Women will love ‘m! James van der Beek is great in that show. And that B**** is beyond epic! Hooking her roommate up with her... DAD!

Higgie Baby is great in it. It is in B&W. It really makes it feel like the 20's.

He would be popular with the female audience and that’s what that show has mainly. I don’t know any dudes that watch it. I like that actress who plays the B****. She’s very pretty. She has her own show on Netflix now, Jessica Jones . She plays a former superhero turned private detective.

Haha, I wouldn’t know a guy watching it either. Krysten Ritter? I really don’t like that hair of her, those bangs. She had that in Breaking Bad as well. How’s that Jessica Jones series? A friend of mine suggested I’d watch Mr. Robot .

Oh, I think those bangs are sexy. She’s great in Jessica Jones . I really liked the show. I think Daredevil is a little better, but JJ is pretty unique. And David Tennant is terrific in it, too. Mr. Robot is excellent. You have to pay attention when you watch it, though. It’s very clever.

I’ll try and watch it again. I'm picky when it comes to sitcoms, but I won't mind looking at her for half an hour. She does a good job toning down the sexiness as Jessica.
